Is Hollie's open on christmas??
Superb - We thoroughly enjoyed the Thanksgiving Prix Fixe. Well prepared and presented. Impeccable service - thanx, Simon. Enjoyable atmosphere and live music - we arrived too early but were promptly accommodated in a perfectly cozy but ample nook.
MoreWe had a fantastic dinner/evening. If your plan to go to the Flatiron make a reservation, we were lucky to get a table. The food is very good we had the turkey meatballs and Mac & cheese as starters. For main courses we went for the shared table bread and meat. Besides the food the drinks are even better. On top of all that you can listen to some nice jazz in a very unique location.
MoreGreat venue for live music. Lots of blues and jazz throughout the whole night. You should definitely take a look if you’re in the city and looking for high quality music! Make sure you reserve in advance - there’s a very limited amount of front row seating near the musician(s) for the night.
MoreGreat atmosphere. Great service from waitors. Entertainment was good too. We were on our particular night of attendance extremely let down by the quality of the food and the prices charged for such food. Desert and " big plates " tasted like microwaved meals thrown together in 1min flat as some kind of after thought but amazingly matched exactly what you ordered but just tasted so bad as if the chef was off work that day and the apprentice took over on day 1. The food was a big let down and if everything else wasn't ok the review would be 1 star for the food.
MoreWe came after having dinner at Cote just for the whiskey tastings. We did NOT try any food here.We had the Discovery, New York, and World Tour flights. The server is well trained and highly rated (the stars on her vest is the indication of her training and knowledge). There was a live band for jazz music and the scene is great if you're in the mood for jazz.Great spot for spirits and to chill
MoreThe Flatiron room is a wonderful spot for dinner, or a unique drink. The atmosphere is superb, the food is unique, but the drinks are where this spot shines. If you’re looking for a spot in NY that would satisfy any whisky aficionado, then this is a must visit space. Compliment the several page long whiskey menu, with great live music and you have found a space that is great for a date or a business dinner. Go here, you won’t be disappointed.
MoreBrilliant! A classic, jazz-fueled “speakeasy“ feel. Upscale clientele with bartenders as knowledgeable about spirits as you will find anywhere. A dark, romantic interior—You must visit!
MoreThese people are knowledgeable. They know their Scotch very well and this is the place to learn about Scotch and what you like, not what is popular. This is a place to discover your own personal taste profile.
MoreExactly what I was looking for with a dark, but cozy jazz bar. The music is good. You can talk away all you like. It is beneficial to make a reservation ahead of time BUT they do always have a little room for walkins at the bar and a standing bar. There is a 2 drink minimum but there bartenders are class and make proper drinks very well.
MoreSo bizarre. And! So overpriced. Had a $30 4-cheese platter. Literally less than one single slice of each cheese a giant shmear of a jam and loads and loads of bread. What a joke. Drinks seemed overpriced and lacked alcohol ($18 cocktails) Would not go back. Our waitress was lovely.
MoreLoved the ambience of the flatiron room. We reserved a table for 5, but they generously accommodated the 6 of us. Regarding their drinks, I was complete blown. Four of us ordered the whiskly flights including the single Malts, Pete and Kings road. Just loved the selection specially the single Malts including speyburn and glendraco.... The best whisky place in town and worth a visit.
MoreMaitre'de was a little rude about our seating even though we had reservations and said they needed the table in 2 hours, which seemed strange. They have a great whisky selection but definitely over priced and not worth sampling. The saving grace was the food was good and the waiters were knowledgeable about the whisky.
MoreUsual spot. Elegant ambience, great food and service.Drinks: Good choices, great drinks.Food: Not a lot of options, but, the food is amazing. Oysters are good quality. Potato with bravo sauce, delicious. Mac & Cheese is Heavenly! Planning to try more items on their menu. Service: Seamless and perfect. Extremely experienced staff. Service perfect matches the upscale ambience.Ambience: Love the live music. Elegant and upscale vibe.Definitely planning to visit it more often.
MoreGreatest whiskey bar I’ve ever been to. Always a first-class experience. Jazz/blues acts on the stage in the back are never too loud to stifle conversation.
MoreNice romantic ambiance, fantastic cocktail selection, and classic jazz on a nightly basis without cover. The menu features vegetarian and vegan choices, and various plates that we tried were well prepared. The main attraction is the variety of whiskey and bourbon. Notable: you may purchase an entire bottle which they will keep for you in a pretty display cage, to finish in as many return visits as you wish.

The best whisky place in town and worth a visit. Sophisticated place, superfluous whisky, amazing service, great food and great live jazz.
MoreI went on a date to The Flatiron Room Friday night WOW it was impressive, my date and I were blown away!! where do I start, the service impeccable & professional, the ambience, the cuisine from the starter Cheese Combo Board main coarse Salmon dish so good, the Smoked Oysters were delicious, amazing crafted cocktails yummy, the wine selection & whiskey selection they got you covered!! To TOP it OFF The JAZZ Incredible music puts you in the best mood!! I highly recommend this venue for any occasion hits the spot. I left feeling very content :) Thank you Mgr. Young excellent Service. Very classy Place XO Hana A
MoreI was searching for an authentic, fiftes-style jazz bar in Manhattan - including little lampshades on the tables. And I found it in the Flatiron Room. There was an awesome live music performance and extremely skilled servers when it came to choosing the right whiskey. They even climb creaking wooden ladders up for you to the more rare whiskeys in the upper shelves or put your name on your very own bottle and store it for your next visits - if you can afford one. 😉
MoreTHE place to go if you love whiskey. The largest bourbon selection in Manhattan. And among the top 40 bourbon bars in the country. Try a flight of bourbon samples and watch the hours melt away as you sip and relax, while a killer live jazz band serenades you until you've had your fill. A must see in the city.
MoreAll of the food and drinks were top quality. Portions were small on the charcuterie board. Atmosphere was what were looking for. Service was great.
MoreMake a reservation. Fantastic ambiance for business or fun. The music is great but isn't overpowering as to have to talk over it. Extensive whiskey menu with nice cocktail options as well. Food was delicious.
MoreAmazing whiskey selection. Great food, service, and live jazz. My girlfriend brought me here as a surprise and I had a blast
MoreAs I sit here with no water, an empty glass and dirty plates I’d say this very unique spot can only get 1 star because of the service. The cocktails are wonderful, the food is just okay and was delivered cold. The smoked oysters were great but the Mac n cheese was cold. They were out of liver toast but recommended the salmon toast which was SO fishy we didn’t eat it. Neither bartender asked us how the food was at any point, and as I mentioned they did not clear the plates. Bartenders talked amongst themselves and ignored guests the entire night so far and when we asked when the live music would start they said they didn’t know and didn’t bother to find out. The food runners were both sweet and conscientious, the decor was stunning, but I’d skip this bar altogether if it means sitting at the bar and dealing with this level of service. Worst I’ve seen in a long time honestly.
MoreI really liked the diverse crowd here. The music was well played, though I think they meandered through genres to please the crowd. I enjoyed my tasting and the server was knowledgeable. The table setting is pretty plain.
MoreAwesome food, music, service and ambiance. Only negative was no coffee served at all here. Missed having coffee with dessert.
MoreGo for the music and drinks. NOT the food. Place is very cool with a sexy intimate vibe. The drinks are awesome. My husband had a whisky cocktail that was yummy and my martini was perfectly made. The Jazz was fun and entertaining. The food was not so good. The photo is of my $34 “lobster” risotto with about a few small pieces of lobster. And about as much corn as rice. It was wet and cold and undercooked.
MoreGreat atmosphere, great music, food mostly good, my partners veggie main was not so good, but my lobster risotto was good. Huge drinks menu. Expensive, though it was a treat
MoreThis place is amazing. Starting with the decor first, it feels like you're walking back in times. A true 1920's speakeasy with live music. Mostly jazz, but you can catch other styles every once in a while. Their craft cocktails are ridiculously good and the food as well. Definitely a place to check out.
MoreSimply loved the music clubbed with music. Highly recommended place for jazz music in the city
MoreGreat jazz, friendly knowledgeable staff, and wonderful selection of whiskey!!
This place is absolutely amazing I highly recommend this place for a romantic dinner or a night out to grab drinks. Atmosphere is like a 1920's speakeasy and great music and very friendly staff. My wife and I had dinner here and we had the pleasure of having Pierre as our server he was great, very knowledgeable about everything this place has to offer. We went back a second time and requested to have Pierre because he was such an amazing server. We definitely will be coming back to this amazing restaurant next time we return to New York.
MoreThis is one of my favorite places in Manhattan for dinner and a show. The music is usually jazz and the food is always great. The Flatiron Room is know for its whiskey and the selection is tremendous.
MoreLoved it. Amazing staff, amazing cocktails, good music.Perfect place for a date night
MoreGreat selection of bourbon and whiskey! Nice atmosphere and vibe
We visited New York recently and went to this place a group of 4. It was amazing!! A must try place the food and drinks weee so delicious and the ambiance was great with the jazz professional band that was performing! I will definitely visit it again when I go back. Highly recommended 👌
MoreI love the Flatiron Room for jazz and great cocktails! A group of friends went and we were seated right next to the stage. I do wish we had. Seat further back to enjoy the full view and acoustic balance. We ordered burrata, cauliflower, duck confit, sea bass and a bevy of cocktails. It was delicious and our server was very attentive! The experience does come with a price tag, but is a must see/do at least once.
MoreAwesome spot for Whiskey and Jazz! I strolled in on a whim with a party of 4 on a Friday night and they were able to seat us almost immediately. The drinks were good, and music better.
MoreCocktails were fantastic (the old fashioned had smoke!) and we split a few things, all of which were great (except the carrots weren’t quite as good). It’s smaller inside than expected, so I’d definitely make a reservation if you have more than 2 people!
MoreLove the decor and the space itself: of the warm, enveloping, classy vintage variety. Everyone working here adds to the ambiance, from those at the front door to the mixoligists. The music was enjoyable and the drink selection and presentation are notable experiences in themselves. Perfect place to enjoy intimate conversation with friends or a date while sipping on a smoky old fashioned or while entertaining clients you want to impress. Will definitely be back.
MoreWould definitely recommend this place for a date night. Great food + live jazz, that's all folks!
MoreThis classy whisky bar with 2000 bottles in their collection (as I was told) and live jazz music creates the perfect ambience for a special night-out. The service was excellent, they were all very pleasant and attentive. The food I had was alright and the portion reasonable. I will definitely visit again whenever I'm in New York. Highly recommended!
MoreThe atmosphere was so fun. The server was attentive. The music was amazing. Such a fun time.
MoreOne of my favorite jazz bars in Manhattan. Have come here many times for a drink and some jazz. We ordered blackmagic cocktail which was delicious and a 10 year tallisker scotch. Tables were all reserved but in the past we have gotten the small tables near the bar. It was a fine evening.
MoreA great evening of food, drink and entertainment. Great selection of whiskey from around the world
MoreThe flatiron room is a classy performance bar. They serve an array of well crafted drinks while bands play on stage. During happy hour, there are 10 dollar drinks at standing tables. Food was really good. The chimichurri steak bites were delicious.
MoreVery good food. Great bartender that makes amazing drinks. Never had the oysters but it's available if you want
MoreGreat jazz club, excellent food & cocktails. I travel all over and always search out good jazz. This is one of my tops. Spot on management & staff with great music.
MoreA great spot for jazz and conversation in a gorgeous setting. Stay for their handcrafted cocktails, extensive whisky selection, or some great small bites or full dinner menu. Reservations are HIGHLY recommended. Icon parking garage across street for those driving into the city.
MoreBest whiskey bar in nyc, +live jazz
